WASHBURN, Maine – Keith W. Corey, 64, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018, in Presque Isle. Keith was born in Easton on January 24, 1954, the son of Winston and Marjorie (Wright) Corey.
Keith graduated from Easton High School in 1972. He worked for many years in banking and as office manager for many energy companies in the area. Keith was very involved in the community, and for many years volunteered as a Scout Leader in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of Easton and Washburn. Growing up, he enjoyed working with and occupying leadership positions in FFA.
Keith is survived by his wife, Katherine (Durost) Corey; his sons, Kent and his wife, Kristen, of Bangor, and Kyle and his fiancée, Jessica Garnett, of Old Town; his sisters, Barbara and her husband, Larry Barnes, of Cleves, OH, and Jill and her husband, Fred Barnes, of Easton; and his grandchildren, Noah, Lillian, Charlotte, Collin, and Addison; as well as many extended family members. He will also be missed by a cousin who was like a brother, Mike Corey, and his wife, Donna, and a special friend, Shirley Dawson.
Keith was predeceased by both of his parents.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, August 30, 2018, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Duncan Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, where a funeral service will also be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. A reception will follow services at the Washburn Pentecostal Church.
