MARS HILL, Maine – Zola P. Hill, 97, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 in Mars Hill. She was born in Mars Hill, on January 15, 1921, the daughter of John and Serena (Lockhart) Fletcher.
Zola married Vinal H. Hill, when she was only 15. They were married for over 60 years, most of that time, in Dexter. She kept a large beautiful vegetable garden and enjoyed canning her vegetables. She was a wonderful cook, and loved her family very much.
Zola is survived by her niece, Judy Trecartin and her husband, Richard, of Bridgewater, and many other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vinal; her son, Robert; and her brothers, Charles, Avon, Ivan, John and Harld Fletcher; and a sister, Millicent Lyons.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, September 10, 2018, at 1 p.m., Kings Grove Cemetery in Mars Hill. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.duncan-graves.com.
