The Purple Hat ladies met at the Smyrna Merrill Historical Society for their September outing.
September birthdays were recognized and “Happy Birthday” music filled the air.
Verna Boone was the winner of the monthly drawing.
The tables were set with fall decorations, including locally made maple syrup candy.
Fall mad libs were completed by the PH ladies with lots of imagination, and all were read and enjoyed.
And, of course, a delicious meal was served by the smiling ladies of SMHS.
Attending were: Sandra Holmes, Wannetta Townsend, Verna Boone, Mildred Gagnon, Bernice Campbell, Arlene Friel, Sandy Wyman, Ramona White, Betty Wyman, Marsha Reed and Charlotte Marley.
