CARIBOU, Maine – Theresa P. Anderson, 91, passed away at her home in Caribou, Maine, surrounded by family on September 21, 2018. She was born in Stockholm, Maine, on June 23, 1927, the daughter of Florent and Leontine (Garand) Plourde.
She attended Stockholm schools and graduated from beautician school in Presque Isle. She was married to Donald L. Anderson for 67 years and together they raised two children.
Terry enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family, but also found enjoyment working part-time as a beautician. She faithfully attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Stockholm, Maine.
Terry is survived by her husband, Donald Anderson; her children, Dawn and her husband, Craig Peterson of Caribou, Maine, and Mark Anderson and his wife, Diane, of Stonington, Connecticut; along with eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Mildred Lufkin of Old Town, Maine; and brothers, Greg (Ada) Plourde of Stockholm, Maine, Pete (Henri) Plourde of Seffner, Florida, and Donald Plourde of Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Candid Forsman, Queenie Peterson, Orilla Forsman, Velma Lufkin; as well as her brother, Allen Plourde.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stockholm, Maine. Interment will follow at the Stockholm Cemetery. Following these services, all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at Trinity Lutheran Church.
