Over the summer, the Levesque family of Mars Hill renovated Ebb Lovely’s garage in downtown Mapleton. The whole family was involved in the project, which included fixing the roof, doors, windows and walls and the complete repainting of the building’s exterior.
Last week all this work paid off with the opening of the new garage. In honor of Ebb Lovely, Joe, Steve and Ralph Levesque opened Ebb’s Autowork, a full service garage. Joe Levesque pointed out they are still a work in progress and are working to become a certified vehicle and heavy equipment inspection garage.
Joe Levesque’s brother Steve handles the towing service with their rollback tow truck. His other brother, Ralph, is a detailing specialist. The fourth member of the team is Aaron McCormak, diesel technician.
Joe explained they are close friends with Glendon Braley, owner of the building, who convinced them to come to Mapleton, and recalled their family connection to Mapleton. The brothers’ parents were married next door in the Mapleton Lions Community Hall.
Joe said, “The garage was there then and it seemed right to keep the connection back to the day of our parents’ marriage.”
