JAMES PATRICK HOGAN, HODGDON – James Patrick Hogan, 69, Hodgdon, went to sleep in the Lord, September 25, 2018, after a long illness. He was born April 14, 1949, in Houlton, the son of Cyril and Marion (McGann) Hogan.
Jim was a 1967 graduate of Houlton High School. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving four years. He worked as a police officer in various states also work for WAGM in Presque Isle, as a photographer; and he was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Oakfield, where he played the piano until he became ill. Jim had a real love for piano playing. He is survived by his wife, Julie (Fitzpatrick)Hogan of Hodgdon whom he married in 1992; also his dog ‘Callie’; his sisters and brothers, Mary Newhouse, Al(Jeannie) Hogan, Joe (Pat) Hogan, Tommy (Carrie) Hogan, Carmel (Carl) Watson, and Veronica Hogan Chapman; brother-in-law, Dean (Stacey) Fitzpatrick, sisters-in-law, Claudia (John) Klauzenberg and Kathy (Terry) Mitchell; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and also his Canadian and church families. He also leaves behind two close friends, Jim Thompson and Lorene Wilson. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Newhouse.
Friends called 1-2 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral service was held at 2 p.m.
