MILDRED CARR COREY, LITTLETON – Mildred Carr Corey, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 12, 1925 in Debec, NB, Canada, the daughter of Carroll and Christine (Ivey) Carr.
Mildred moved with her family to Maine when she was one year old and was naturalized when she was thirty. She married Wendell Corey and together they raised seven children. Mildred had a gift for playing piano and was the pianist for nearly fifty years at the Littleton Full Gospel Assembly where she was a member. Mildred enjoyed family most of all but enjoyed cooking, woodworking, knitting and crossword puzzles.
Mildred is survived by three daughters, Sally Henderson and her husband, Gerald, of Littleton, Cathy Hogan and her husband, Leo, of New Limerick, and Wendy Lewis and her husband, Evan of Littleton.
Mildred is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Clayton Willigar, Jr., Courtney Willigar, Jessica (Henderson) Bergeron, Casey Henderson, Anne (Henderson) DeWitt, Frank Henderson, Will Hogan, Shannon Hogan, Matthew Hogan, Adam Hogan, David Lewis, and Corey Lewis; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Maxine Corey; and brother-in-law, Reggie Corey. She was predeceased by her husband, Wendell; two sons, Stephen and Andrew; three daughters, Lynn Willigar, Heather Dee, and infant daughter, Corinne; her sisters, Madelyn McAdam and Edith Fornier; and brother, Allen Carr.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 14th at the Littleton Full Gospel Assembly. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Pastor Christie Corey officiating. Interment will be at the Littleton Cemetery. The family invites friends and relatives to a time of refreshment at the church fellowship hall following the interment.
