AREY BRADFORD GOLDING SR. Arey Bradford Golding Sr. went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2018, at the age of 100 + surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 6, 1917 in Danforth, Maine. He was predeceased by his parents, Bradford and Goldie Golding,his wife and mother of his children, Breatrice Brennan, sisters Phillis Springer, Evelyn Harriman and Charlotte Wright, grandson John Golding Jr., stepdaughter Paula Remury, and son-in-law, Robert Brill. He is survived by his second wife Elizabeth Golding of Danforth, ME, sons, Arey Golding Jr. (Ruth) Smyrna Mills ,ME, John Golding Sr. (Ellie] Craryville,NY, daughters, Elizabeth Brill of Poultney, VT Sally Price (Bill) Tupper Lake, NY, stepsons, Fred Gillis (Joy) of Danforth, Barry Gillis (Carrie) of Danforth; 9 grandchildren, 8 stepgrandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 7 great-stepgrandchildren, a sister, Mary Irish of Houlton, several nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, Sunday dinners, berry picking , and doing things with his cousin Chick. He entered the Army in 1941 and was a World War II vet being discharged in 1947. He worked in Maine and moved to Wingdale, New York working in Harlem Valley Psych Center. He also worked a second job Hunts Country Furniture retiring in 1981 and moved back to his hometown of Danforth. He is a lifelong member of American Legion Post 45 of Danforth and a lifelong member of VFW in Mattawamkeag. He was also a member of local Grange.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Legion 45 of Danforth. Graveside services will be held on October 20, 2018 at Hilltop Cemetery, Danforth Maine at 1:00. A celebration of life will be held immediately after the service at the American Legion Hall. The family would like to say thank you to the wonderful staff at Houlton Regional Hospital for the loving care they provided for our loving husband and father.
