MARY H. GRANT, HOULTON – Mary H. Grant, 79, died October 9, 2018 with her family at her side. She was born February 12, 1939 in Bath, NB, Canada, the daughter of Murray and Myrtle (Haynes) Kenney.
Mary was a graduate of Ricker Classical Institute, worked at Gardiner Nursing Home for over 30 years and was a life member of the United Pentecostal Church in Houlton for over 50 years. She especially enjoyed cooking and entertaining.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carl Grant of Houlton; 4 children, Carl and Rona Grant of Bridgewater, Calvin and Gini Grant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Craig Grant of LaGrange, Kelley and Dave Nord of Azuza, CA; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Gladys Keith, Claude Kenney, Sharon Pangburn, Gwen Dunn, Sandra Margison, and Barbara Peters; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, and a granddaughter, Alana.
Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, at the United Pentecostal Church, 136 Main St., Houlton, with funeral services following officiated by Calvin Grant and Reverend Vernon Sixberry.
