HOULTON, Maine — Starting on Nov. 11, the First Baptist Church in Houlton will have a new pastor.
Mark Lunn is officially taking over the ministry, located at 46 Court St., after serving as the interim pastor since August. Lunn comes to to the church from his recent position as the Northern Maine Director of Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Prior to that, he served for 20 years as the pastor at the Hodgdon United Baptist Church, and before that he was pastor at the Calvary Baptist Church in Westfield.
The Lunns are especially interested in youth evangelism and have served active roles at the Living Waters’ summer camp, Wilderness Day Camp, and other camp ministries, as well as the Good News Clubs at Houlton Elementary and Southside schools.
First Baptist Church invites people to join them on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. to hear Pastor
Lunn’s bible-based and spirit-lead sermons. They offer junior church during the morning sermon for younger children, youth group on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and numerous bible studies throughout the week.
Services are aired live on Facebook under the name, First Baptist Church of Houlton, for those who are shut-in and cannot attend.
