ROBERT M. NICKERSON, HOULTON and LAKE CITY, Fla. – Robert M. Nickerson passed away Oct. 16, 2018. He was born Oct. 21, 1931, in Houlton. to Raymond A. and Evelyn E Swallow Nickerson.
Bobby served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and WAF. He was a past member of Elks Lodge and current member of American Legion post 0057, Lake City,FL.
Bobby was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Raymond “Juny,” Lowell “Mickey,” and Erwin. He is survived by his true love and best friend of 59 years, his wife, Ruth Haley Nickerson. He was daddy to Bill (Sandy) Lloyd, Jayne Lloyd (Dennis) Adams, Mickey Lloyd (Ken) Youngpeter. He was grandpa to: Kimberley (Ricky), Timothey (Sarah), Matt (Audrey), Bobbi Jo (Travis), Haley (Tim), Andy (Lisa) and great-grandpa to: Billy, Austin, Lily, Kassi, Eli, Maddy, Bryce, Josie, Zac, Rosemary. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including special family, Cal, Ron, Jimmy, David, Heidi and Jody; sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Donald) Fitzpatrick, Estelle Nickerson, Barbara Nickerson and brother-in-law, Jim Haley. Also, special friends, Charlie and Joanne Bradshaw, Nancy and Dot Boutilier, Cindy Folsom, Cindy J, Carrie Ann and Sarah.
Bobby requested no services and private interment at Bushnell Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Salvation Army, local humane society, St. Jude’s Hospital or charity of your choice.
