PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Dorene E. Archer, 93, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Friday night Nov. 16, 2018 at the Presque Isle Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born April 4, 1925 in Castle Hill, the daughter of Lewis and Marie (Elliot) McPherson. She was dearly loved by her family.
She is survived by three sons; Howard A., Lewis A., and Alan E. Archer and his wife, Bertha, all of Chapman; three daughters, Janet M. Gilson and Pamela “Chickie” Adams of Mapleton, and Bonnie M. Robbins of Chapman; a sister, Mary Hull of Gilsum, NH; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard “Ted” Archer; two sons, Timothy E. and Kevin R. Archer; two brothers, Melvin and Steven McPherson; three sisters, Margaret Bolduc, Althea Jordan, and Hilda Hull.
