LITTE SISTER — I took this photo of my sister, Elle. She was playing outside in the snow when I realized how cute a picture would be with her in the snow. Her hat makes her stand out because I have not seen anyone with a hat like this. She has a wild and outgoing personality, which I believe you can see in this photo, and it shows exactly who she is.
CLOSEUP — I chose this picture because it is one of my favorites! Brooke, Gabby and I went to riverside to take pictures one day right after I got my new lens so I really wanted to test it out. All of them came out so good. I love closeup pictures. (Story and more photos included within.)
WOMEN AT WORK — The inspiration for this photo was the theme of “hard work,” which was one of the projects for my advanced photography class. I also wanted to focus on the aspect of women being involved with hard-working occupations. I found an image of a female chimney sweep and decided to do my own photographer’s take on it.
MAINE MEMORIES — I love this photo of an icicle because it reminds me of home in Maine — the cold temperatures in Maine and the beauty of Aroostook County.
DRIFTING IN THE WIND — This photo was taken last fall. This photo was originally for my railroad tracks photo. My cousin was playing around with the cattails and my friend Hannah taught her that if you hit the cattails onto the tracks and the wind was blowing, parts of the cattail would drift in the wind. The sun was setting and the wind was blowing, and that’s how this picture came about.
