Local airman Jason P. Hoyt graduates

FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine, and SAN ANTONIO — Airman 1st Class Jason P. Hoyt graduated with honors from Air Force basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio on July 13, 2018, receiving his Air Force graduation coin.

In a separate ceremony, he joined others who received an additional coin for graduating with honors.

While at Lackland, as a member of the 321st Training Squadron (The Warthogs), he was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps and was designated a dormitory leader.

Following basic training, Hoyt transferred to Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas, for technical training in aviation hydraulics, graduating on Oct. 9, 2018. He was a member of the drill team while at Sheppard.

A graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and Northern Maine Community College, Hoyt is stationed at Hurlburt Field, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
