PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Northern Light Home Care and Hospice is working with area parishes providing outreach to frail and isolated members of local faith communities, and we are actively looking for volunteers.
Northern Light will be holding an informational session to learn more about how you can become a volunteer in your faith community on Jan. 7, 2019, at the Senior Center in Fort Kent from 9:30-10:30 a.m..
Some of the tasks that Faith Community volunteers help with include: friendly visits, grocery shopping, transportation and other errands. Volunteers provide support to caregivers, make wellness visits and help provide access to community resources. They may also help coordinate blood pressure screenings,flu shot clinics and wellness programs.
