PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Central Aroostook Kennel Club will hold a half-day canine health learning opportunity with Gina Snow, LVT.
Topics will include: speaking up for your dog so you can better understand illness, and get the care, and options you want; focusing on overall health and recovery; helping your aging or aged dog; joint health; pet blood tests; titers and vaccinations; identifying emergencies, illness check-ups and wait-and-see events.
Snow was born and raised in Aroostook County. She has loved and been involved with animals her whole life. As a child, she grew up with horses, cows, cats and dogs.
At a very young age, she told her dad she was going to work with animals when she grew up. He said she would change her mind a hundred times before then. How wrong he was. In 1987, Snow attended college for animal medical technology at the University of Maine in Orono. After receiving her license in 1989, she worked as a full-time surgical technician for 15 years at a local animal hospital. In 2002, Gina relocated to Central Maine to work at the Animal Wellness Center, where she pursued her love of alternative medicine. (www.doggiedecipher.com)
This event will take place on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center. Registration will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m., with the presentation from 9 to 12:30 c 9:00-12:30.
