CARIBOU, Maine — Griffeth Ford Lincoln recently presented the Aroostook Youth Basketball League with a check for $4,200, the proceeds from their “Drive 4Ur Community event held this past fall.
Sherry L. Bradley, customer relations manager for the dealership, presented the donation to Ghent Holdsworth, league treasurer, and Matt Tompkins, AYBL president.
According to Holdsworth, the funds will be used to help support the purchase of equipment, including basketballs, scorebooks, equipment bags and first aid kits, along with helping to keep the cost of participation in AYBL affordable for all families through ongoing scholarship programs established by the league.
Organized by Griffeth Ford staff, the event was held at the Caribou Community Center. For every person who test-drove a new Ford vehicle, the dealership and the automaker donated $20 to AYBL.
