Presque Isle High School Class of 2012
PRESQUE ISLE — The Presque Isle Rotary Club held its annual luncheon for Presque Isle High School seniors on May 7 at the Crow’s Nest and Events Center. This traditional event gives the local service club’s approximately 100 members an opportunity to celebrate the Class of 2012 and the seniors’ many scholastic, athletic and extra-curricular accomplishments and achievements.

Nearly 130 PIHS seniors attended the luncheon, which included addresses by Principal Donna Lisnik and Senior Class President Kent Smith.
Traditionally, this Rotary luncheon marks the “beginning of the end” for PIHS seniors. In the four weeks after the luncheon, they have several events to attend and activities in which they will take part, including the auditions for commencement, the Academic Banquet, Senior Prom, final exams, commencement rehearsals, Class Day, Graduation, and Project Graduation.
The Rotary luncheon culminated with the presentation of this year’s Outstanding Seniors awards, which were given to Kent Smith and Dani Wolland.
The Presque Isle Rotary Club is part of a worldwide organization of community volunteers. The slogan of Rotary is “Service Above Self” and the club seeks to live up to this ideal by supporting a variety of causes for the betterment of the community.
