HERMON, Maine — The Presque Isle cheerleaders placed fourth at Saturday’s Penobscot Valley Conference Class B cheering competition.
The Wildcats finished only behind Hermon, Ellsworth and Old Town and totaled 60.5 points.
Presque Isle had finished first at the Aroostook League Championships Jan. 18 and placed third in the Big East Conference event in Ellsworth Jan. 19.
The Wildcats are coached by Kelsie Spooner.
Caribou ended up ninth at the PVCs, scoring 47.3 points.
Teams are now preparing for the North regionals on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Caribou and Presque Isle compete in Class B, while Central Aroostook and Fort Fairfield are the local teams in Class C.
