Adam Rider of Mapleton recently took a group of local kids on a turkey hunting trip downstate. Shown with their prey are, from left: Cassey Brewer, Carson Michaud, Kyle Rider and Rebecca Rider. The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife offers a Youth Spring Turkey Hunting Day as a way to introduce youngsters to the sport of turkey hunting, much like the Youth Deer Hunting Day in the fall.
