PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Presque Isle Elks No. 1 has claimed the Eastern Maine Women’s Bowling title by winning at their home lanes.
Northern Lanes hosted the tournament April 26-28.
Elks No. 1 had 12 wins to best Calais No. 1, which had 10 wins. Northern Lanes No. 2 was third followed by Woodland No. 1, Northern Lanes No. 1, Calais No. 2, PI Elks No. 2 and Woodland No. 2.
The top five averages for the tournament were: 1, Carolyn Nicholas, 103.5; 2, Norma LaFrance, 103.04; 3, Mona Reiersen, 102.93; 4, Alice Caron, 102; and 5, Kim Sue Leavitt, 101.93.
Playing for the Elks No. 1 team were Sue Chasse, Annie Michaud, Reiersen, Leavitt and Caron.
