Stew night, dessert auction to benefit the Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp Program (ATLC)

HOULTON, Maine — A stew night benefitting the Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp program will be held Saturday evening, Feb. 2, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd (116 Main Street) in Houlton.

The menu includes chicken stew, vegetarian chili, beef stew, or taco soup along with a roll, and drink for $5. There will also be a (silent) dessert auction. Winners can enjoy their desserts there or take them home.

Grilled cheese sandwiches may be purchased for an additional dollar each. Carry out containers will be available. There will also be a (silent) dessert auction. Winners can enjoy their desserts there or take them home.

The Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp program is a leadership development and drug prevention program of Aroostook Mental Health Services, Inc., and serves Aroostook County teens.

Any student in grades 6-8 can attend a five-day residential summer camp program held at the University of Maine at Fort Kent July 21-25 to learn leadership skills, attend workshops about teen topics, and develop positive social skills through structured evening activities as well as lasting friendships.

Teens have opportunities to develop learned skills by participating in follow-up activities during the school year and are encouraged to stay involved for years to come.
