Motorcycle poker run scheduled for Sunday
Organizers hope a Poker Run slated Sunday, July 22 will unite motorcycle enthusiasts throughout the County, and bring them together for a charitable cause.  While all motorcycles are invited to participate, the Fort Kent Knights of Columbus has extended an invitation to everybody with any form of transportation to take part in the event.
The poker run will take all participants for a journey through some of Maine’s most scenic routes within Aroostook County. Checkpoints will include: Fort Kent K of C Hall, Van Buren Irving, Fort Fairfield Irving, DOC’s Place in Presque Isle, and the Rest Area in Hedgehog Mountain on Route 11.
“One major change we incorporated this year for the poker run is to allow participants to start at any of the five locations,” stated K of C Inside Guard, Brian Dubois. “This year, they can start anywhere and finish in Fort Kent for the closing ceremony.”
The registration fee for all participants is $10. Proceeds from the event will benefit St. John Valley cancer survivors and their families.
