PATTEN, Maine — Maine State Police are investigating a robbery at the East Mill Credit Union on Church Street Tuesday afternoon and are seeking the public’s help.

According to Lt. Brian Harris of the Maine State Police, a 9-1-1 call was received at the Houlton Troop F barracks reporting a robber at the East Mill Credit Union around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday.

“The caller reported that a male subject had entered the bank, demanded money, and then fled on foot,” Harris stated in a press release.

Maine State Troopers, Game Wardens, and deputies from Aroostook and Penobscot Sheriffs Offices converged on the area and began a search for the suspect. A State Police K-9 team was also brought in to assist.
