Lots of St. Patrick’s Day decorations were the color of the day for the Oakfield Senior Citizens as they met for their first meeting of March 2019 at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club. There has been plenty of snow for the club to enjoy for their Family Fun Day and other activities going on there this winter.
Charlotte Marley was the winner of the 50/50 raffle.
President Alberta McDonald opened the business meeting with the Lord’s Prayer followed by the Flag Salute. March birthdays were recognized and “Happy Birthday” was sung. All reports were discussed and accepted.
Another delicious potluck was enjoyed by all.
Lisa Moulton from The Agency on Aging in Presque Isle will be our guest speaker at the next meeting, March 20.
Everyone was given a St. Patrick’s Day green hat filled with peanuts and topped with a gold coin to take home with them.
Attending were: Arlene Friel, Alberta McDonald, Jeanne Clements, Bernice Campbell, George Barrow, Wannetta Townsend, Ramona White, Mildred Gagnon, Kathleen Boutilier, Iona Nadeau, Judy Williams, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Don and Charlotte Marley, Juanita Russell.
