POTATO QUEEN PAGEANTRY — The Pre-Teen and Teen Miss Potato Blossom Festival pageants were held July 14 at the Fort Fairfield Middle/High School gymnasium. All 17 contestants were joined on stage with the reigning queens for an exciting opening number. FORT FAIRFIELD — The Pre-Teen and Teen Maine Potato Blossom pageants were held July 14 in the Fort Fairfield Middle/High School Gym. Hannah Guerrette of Mapleton won the Teen Miss Potato Blossom crown while Presque Isle’s Kaci Bates was selected as 2012 Pre-Teen Miss Potato Blossom.
Guerrette, the daughter of Kim and Carl Michaud and Gary Guerrette, performed a dance routine “Mr. Zoot Suit” for her talent.
First runner-up was Victoria Keaton, Teen Miss Caribou, who sang “On My Own” for her talent presentation. The daughter of Due and Mike Keaton, she was also voted Miss Congeniality by her peers.
Teen Miss Presque Isle, Kelsie Spooner, was named second runnrer-up. The daughter of Kerry and Steve Spooner, she danced to “You Light Me Up” for her talent offering.
Ellyzabeth Bencivenga, Teen Miss Limestone, delivered a trumpet performance of “You’ll Be In My Heart” for her talent presentation. She is the daughter of Wendy and Anthony Bencivenga.
Teen Miss Mars Hill, Courtney Milliard, offered a vocal rendition of “Outside My Window” for her talent. She is the daughter of Tracey and Steven Milliard.
Courtney Cannon, Teen Miss Washburn, delivered a monologue entitled “Tomorrow’s Wish.” She is the daughter of Mistie and Rick Cannon.
Teen Miss Easton, Toria Tarbox, also offered a monologue. It was called “The Perfect Night.” She is the daughter of Jessica Harding and Jeff Tompkins.
Rebecca Theriault, Teen Miss Fort Fairfield, danced to “Blown Away” for her talent presentation. She is the daughter of Bonnie and John Theriault.
During the intermission, the 2011 Pre-Teen and Teen Miss Potato Blossom queens, Chloe Wheeler of Mars Hill and Hannah Stoutamyer of Mapleton, gave their final performances.
Pre-Teen Miss Potato Blossom 2012, Kaci Bates, is the daughter of Destini and Marty Bates. She danced to “Glitter in the Air” for her talent offering.
Sydney Garrison, Pre-Teen Miss Mars Hill, was named first runner-up and was also chosen Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants. The daughter of Heidi and Gregg Garrison, she gave a vocal performance to “Pink Guitar.”
Pre-Teen Miss Mapleton, Paige McHatten, was second runner-up. The daughter of Kelly and Matt McHatten, she danced to “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” for her talent performance.
Kassandra Nelson, Pre-Teen Miss Ashland, gave a signing performance to “Bridge of Light.” She is the daughter of Ginger and Otis Nelson.
Pre-Teen Miss Caribou, Mariah Mink, danced to the song “Popular” for her talent presentation. She is the daughter of MaryAnn Mink.
Hannah Spinney, Pre-Teen Miss Fort Fairfield, sang “Bubbly” for her talent number. She is the daughter of Tina Saucier and Chris Spinney.
Pre-Teen Miss Limestone, Amelia Roy, is the daughter of Sherry and Shawn Roy. She sang “Who Says” during the talent segment of the regional pageant.
Erica Ouellette, Pre-Teen Miss Van Buren, chose “You Raise Me Up” as her dance selection. She is the daughter of Becky and Scott Ouellette.
Pre-Teen Miss Washburn, Samantha Churchill, is the daughter of Doris and Danny Churchill. She sang “The Climb” for her vocal talent performance.
