Eight county middle and high-school students participated in the 30 Hour Famine Sept. 7-8 in Presque Isle.

Sponsored by World Vision, the students went without food for 30 hours and also raised funds to help feed hungry children and families in Burundi, Africa. As part of the community service component, students helped pack and deliver food boxes Saturday at The Raven Center, located at 18 Roberts St. in Presque Isle.
