CARIBOU, Maine — The Rusty Wallace Racing Experience will make a trip to Spud Speedway on Friday, June 14. It marks the first time that the racing experience has appeared in northern Maine.
“We’ve had great success at Wiscasset Speedway and when the opportunity to work with Troy (Haney) at Spud presented itself we were excited to go even further north in Maine,” said
Mark Ebert, president of the experience.
Haney added, “We’ve always maintained the speedway and we look forward to a great event in June, I’m going to bring a few of my people out and put them in cars as well.”
The event begins at 9 a.m. and concludes early afternoon. “It will be nice to see Late Models back on the track, and even more fun to put people behind the wheel of them for the first time at Spud,” Haney said.
The Rusty Wallace Racing Experience puts over 20,000 people annually behind the wheel of race cars all over the country. It specializes in putting people behind the wheel for the very first time in a “bucket list” style activity.
The experience uses Monster Cup style race cars at speedways and super-speedways and Super Late Model style race cars at short tracks all over the country. Participants can choose to drive or ride-along shotgun with a pro at the wheel. For more information, visit www.racewithrusty.com or call 1-855-22-RUSTY.
