PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Wendy Koenig, a graduate of the University of Maine at Presque Isle and a local author, recently marked the release of her book “Insurrection” on May 25.
The science fiction book is a sequel to “Sentient,” and follows Palamourah de la Croix in the aftermath of a failed mission on the planet Colossus. With more than two-thirds of her team dead and an attack armada on the way, Pala struggles to keep charge of the mission. She has no chance of winning.
But this isn’t about winning. It’s about saving lives.
Koenig graduated from UMPI in 2006. She has authored and co-authored numerous books. Several of her novels and short stories have won international awards and have appeared in multiple venues.
