PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Brittany Delano recently joined the Wintergreen Arts Center Board of Directors.
A native of Presque Isle, Delano studied drafting at local colleges, earning an associate degree at Northern Maine Community College and bachelor’s degree at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Currently a stay-at-home mom, she plans to pursue a drafting career once her children are older.
“But for now,” she said, “my creativity is shared through my sign making and love of interior design.”
Delano said her current schedule allows her children to take part in many programs the community has to offer including Wintergreen’s creative preschool, Under the Willow Tree.
“Wintergreen’s Under the Willow Tree program is by far one of the best decisions we have made for both of our children,” Delano said.
“Joining the board is important to me because being a Wintergreen mom, I have seen firsthand the growth that comes from the programs Wintergreen offers,” she added. “And, I feel it is essential to the community that Wintergreen continues to encourage the arts and inspire.”
Kim Guerrette Michaud, Wintergreen’s board dhairwoman, said, “We are so excited to welcome Brittany. Her insight as a parent, coupled with her creativity and caring nature will help us guide and grow Wintergreen’s ability to serve our communities for years to come.”
Delano lives in Presque Isle with her husband, Jake, and their two children, Barrett and Harper.
