NEW SWEDEN, Maine — A portion of the Station Road in New Sweden will be closed today as Maine DOT employees change out a wetland pipe, according to MaineDOT Northern Region Manager Robert Watson.
Watson said the work area is roughly 500 feet and added that the road will be reopened this afternoon.
The regional manager said that workers will be in the area from Aug. 19 to 22, but that the project itself will be complete today.
Next week, MaineDOT plans to change out another wetland pipe in Westmanland on Aug. 26. This work is estimated to occur over the course of “a couple working days,” according to Watson.
“Please observe caution along this route,” Watson wrote in an email. “A detour will be redirecting traffic during the day.”
