Ridge Runners to host cribbage tourney

    The Chapman Ridge Runners will be hosting a cribbage tournament Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Snowmobile Clubhouse at 94 Town Hall Road in Chapman. The tournament will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and lunch will be available.

The cost to enter is $10 per person. Please bring a board if possible. Anyone having questions should contact Kim Archer at 551-2155.

    The club would also like to thank those who attended the potato and pie supper for their support. It was well received and may become an annual event.

 

World Religion Seminar

    The Mapleton United Baptist Church will host its continuing World Religion Seminar this Sunday, Feb. 24 from 6-7 p.m. at the church building. This week’s topic will be Buddhism. The seminar will be presented by Dave Raymond, church member and chair of the Northern Maine Community College arts and sciences department.

 

Refreshments will be served.

    Mapleton Baptist is located directly across from the Mapleton Elementary School and is handicapped accessible. For questions and further information, please call the church office at 764-6034. The public is cordially invited to attend.
