Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Tuesday morning, Feb. 12, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center. The speaker was Rotarian Steve Hitchcock who spoke about the Comprehensive Plan being done for Mars Hill. Steve and a committee of five have been working on updating the plan for the area, setting goals and strategies to improve the town and encourage growth.
The town’s population in 1962 was around 2,000, dropping to around 1,500 today — a 25 percent decrease.
The committee welcomes comments and suggestions. Please call the Town Office at 425-3731 with your ideas or go to the town website www.marshillmaine.com.
