A Presque Isle man was indicted by the Aroostook County grand jury in July after his alleged involvement in an assault that sent a woman to the hospital in late May.
Aroostook County District Attorney Todd Collins said Wednesday that Thomas N. Pasquarelli, 54, of Presque Isle was indicted on charges of elevated aggravated assault, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and criminal threatening.
The alleged incident began just after 6:30 a.m. on May 28.
Officers from the Presque Isle Police Department responded to a report of an assault at a Park Street location. Police found a 34-year-old Presque Isle woman with “serious head trauma” who was taken to Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital in Presque Isle.
Police then executed a search warrant that led to Pasquarelli’s arrest.
Pasquarelli was taken to Aroostook County Jail with a $5,000 cash bail, according to police.
