Softball umpiring clinic
There will be a one-day clinic for prospective softball umpires on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Presque Isle area.

There will also be another umpires clinic held March 11, one night a week, at Presque Isle High School.
Himie Towle Memorial Winter Frolic
The annual ski event, sponsored by Cary Medical Center and the NHSC, will be held at the Nordic Heritage Center on Saturday, March 2 with registration from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The cost is $20 per family, $10 for adults, or $5 for youth and includes an event giveaway to the first 75 to register and a free lunch after.
The 7.5-kilometer freestyle main event (classic track also) starts at noon and is the final event in the Aroostook Cup Winter Series. Youth races for ages 12 and under are scheduled to take place from 11-11:45 a.m. with different distances for the various ages. For more information, please contact Tom at 472-3882.
UMPI softball team to host spaghetti supper
The University of Maine at Presque Isle softball team will host a spaghetti supper on Thursday, Feb. 28 beginning at 4 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Campus Center.
The event is open to the public and the cost is $5 per person.
