The Oakfield Senior Citizens met at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club house on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
After enjoying the beautiful fall colors of the trees on our journey to the meeting, the group enjoyed the dining room’s many decorations of sunflowers on each table.
Then it was time to enjoy the delicious potluck luncheon of tasty meat balls, beans, casseroles, hot rolls, veggie soup, and lots more followed by several desserts — if you left hungry it was your fault.
President Alberta McDonald called the business meeting to order with The Lord’s Prayer followed by the Flag Salute.
Marie Gillotti was the winner of the 50/50 raffle.
All reports were read and accepted. Next meeting, be sure to come in your Halloween costume. After a costume parade there will be a prize for the winning costume.
Attending were: Arlene Friel, Alberta McDonald, Marie Gillotti, Jann Votaw, Berniece Campbell, Mildred Gagnon, George Barrow, Wannetta Townsend, Don and Charlotte Marley, Jim and Helen Blois, Earl and Lottie Doughty and Jeanne Clements.
Oakfield Seniors meet the first and third Wednesday of each month. Come and join us for food and fun. Luncheon is at 11:30.
