HOULTON, Maine — The Louisiana-Pacific Corp. Houlton facility recently donated $2,500 to the Houlton Southside After School Program. The funds were able to provide nutritional activities, field trips and supplies to over 60 students in the program.
In addition, the donation will be used to purchase ingredients for teaching kids how to cook and eat healthy and be used to purchase supplies for game and academic enrichment activities.
The donation from LP came from the LP Foundation, the charitable arm of the company. “LP believes in giving back to the communities where our employees work and live,” said LP Houlton Human Resources and Safety Manager Ryan Bushey.
