SHERMAN, Maine — Local veterans and the general public are invited to a public supper to be held in honor of Veterans Day at the Sherman Recreation Building 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10.
The menu consists of smothered beef, mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, boiled onions, homemade pickles, cottage cheese, rolls dessert, coffee and tea.
Prior to the meal there will be a mini concert provided by the Katahdin school district’s music program including patriotic songs.
Organizers ask for a $10 donation with the proceeds to go to a local veteran and to assist with Wreaths Across America. For more information, call 538-6755.
