CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou Police Department has narrowed down their investigation of a string of local break-ins and burglaries to one “person of interest,” according to Laura Adams, Administrative Assistant for the police department.
Police first issued a release about the incidents on Nov. 12, stating that Several Caribou residents had reported attempted motor vehicle break-ins and burglaries.
Police added that the incidents were all “occurring after dark.”
As of Nov. 19, a warrant has been issued for the suspect, but Caribou Police Chief Michael Gahagan said he is not releasing the individual’s name at this time.
The public is still encouraged to call the Caribou Police Department at 207-493-3301 if they witness any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
“If you see any activity that seems suspicious, please report it to us immediately,” the Nov. 12 release stated. “We are also recommending that if you have exterior lights to have them on throughout the night and make sure to lock your vehicles and houses.”
