TRASK, Harry W., 82, of Lyman, died August 16, 2007 at Southern Maine Medical Center. Arrangements are under the care of Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.     Lyman – Harry W. Trask, 82, of John St, Lyman passed Thursday evening August 16, 2007 at the Southern Maine Medical Center. He was born in Ft. Fairfield, ME March 4, 1925 the son of Warren W. and Katie Maude Victoria Wiggins Trask. Harry attended the local schools and was a graduate of Easton High School.
    After graduation Mr. Trask entered the service and was a radio operator on PBY’s in the South Pacific as a member of the United States Navy Air Corps. After his service to his country he entered the University of Maine in Orono and received Bachelors and Masters degrees in Agronomy.
    Mr. Trask was the Cumberland County Agricultural Extension Agent in Portland in the early ‘50’s before he returned to Aroostook County where he was subsequently employed by HI-Test Fertilizer Company in Presque Isle. In 1962 he moved to Massachusetts where he worked for the Arthur D. Little Company as a consultant specializing in pesticides and fertilizers. In 1971 Mr. Trask began working for the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. and retired to Goodwins Mills in 1980 where he did private consulting.
    Mr. Trask was a member of the Presque Isle Rotary Club and Toastmasters Club as well as a Life Time member of the Lyman-Dayton Lions Club and a member of the Conservation Commission in Lyman.
    Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Edna Thompson Trask of Lyman, 1 son Alan B. Trask and his wife, Charlie, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and 3 daughters: Sara Trask Perny and her husband, Elliott, of Maitland, Florida; Debra Trask Greene and her husband, Joseph, of Belmont, MA, and Donna Trask Hanscom and her husband, Vincent, of West Swanzey, NH. He is also survived by two brothers Oscar J. Trask of Virginia and John Trask of Easton, ME and one sister, Helen Trask King of Easton, ME. He also leaves five grandchildren, one great grandchild and 17 nieces and nephews.
    Harry is predeceased by 1 brother, William Trask, in 1950 and 1 sister, Elizabeth Trask Corey, in 2003.
    Visiting hours were held Monday from 4 to 7 PM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 365 Main St, Saco. A funeral service was immediately following at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at later date at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
