MYERS, Linda Lou, 56, of New Britain, CT, died August 1, 2007 at her home. Arrangements were made at Shaker Funeral Home of New Britain, CT. There will be no services. NEW BRITAIN, CT – Linda Lou (Carney) MYERS, 56, of New Britain, Ct., passed away peacefully at home with her loving family and friends at her side on August 1, 2007.
She was born in Garfield, daughter of Orla C. (Boyd) Carney and the late Germain (Jerry) Peter Carney of Ashland.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two sisters, LaVerne (Bonnie) Easler and Lynette C. Young of Milldale, Ct. and special friend Frank Maggi Jr. of New Britain. She leaves a nephew David Easler and wife Tammi; daughters Katie and Abby and son Stephen (Nason) of Washburn. She leaves nieces Nola Easler Amero with husband Michael and son Lewis of Westfield, Sabrina Easler Daly, her husband Jack and family Jessica, Travis, Mark and Austin of Southington, Ct., and Nancy Easler Hubbell and husband Cliff and family Jamie and Corey of Burlington, Ct. She leaves aunts and uncles, James and Roberta Taylor, Patrick and Uva Hardgrove of Westfield, and Ms. Rosella Boyd Large of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and many cousins.
Linda had many special friends including Joe Shelto of Florida; Sandy Booth of New Britain, Anita Lickteig, Lisa and Seth Matteson of Glastonbury, Joanne Piazza of Hartford, Patty Robchaud and Mark Rafford of Ashland, and President and Mrs. Van Johnson and several Elders of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Linda was well known for her gift of music. She enjoyed entertaining whenever possible playing guitar and key board. Besides music she enjoyed fishing, camping and in her later years the computer was her favorite pastime.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc.; or the American Cancer Society.
Cremation arrangements were made at Shaker Funeral Home of New Britain, Ct. There will be no services per Linda’s request. A celebration of Linda’s life was held before her death.
