HOULTON, Maine — A tractor trailer rolled over on Interstate 95 early Tuesday, spilling a load of wood pellets.

According to Sgt. Chad Fuller of the Maine State Police Troop F barracks, Darren Grey, 42, of Peel, New Brunswick, had recently crossed into the United States from the Port of Entry and was traveling south in a 2018 Volvo tractor trailer when he encountered a slow moving vehicle that was merging onto Interstate 95 around 4:30 a.m.

Grey changed lanes to avoid the car and lost control of the tractor trailer, sliding off the road into the median and rolling onto its side.

The truck, which is owned by HJ Crabbe, had to be towed from the scene by Westerdahl’s Towing. The interstate was closed for a brief period to allow for the vehicle and load of pellets to be removed.

No injuries were reported in the crash and no charges were filed.
