LIMESTONE, Maine — Loring Job Corps officials have announced the promotion of Karen Milton to the position of student records and data integrity manager.
Milton has been promoted from her previous position as transition specialist, and brings both educational and leadership experience to the Loring senior leadership team.
“Karen began her career at Loring in the workforce development department and has been a valuable asset to the career transition team for the past three years, her efforts directly resulting in the Loring CTS team being recognized as the number-one-rated team in the nation each month for the past six months,” said Roger Felix, outreach and admissions manager and business/community liaison at the Loring facility.
“Through Karen’s selfless service and deep knowledge of employer relations and human resources, every student has benefited due to her tireless work ethic to ensure all secured long-term employment in their respected training fields,” he added.
Milton is a member of the student center design team, which builds long-term strategies for the ongoing advancement of the center. She was also recently appointed to the center’s Employee and Empowerment and Engagement Power Team.
In her role as records and data integrity manager, Milton will report to the center director and will be responsible for the proper screening and records management for all students at the facility, including travel documentation and accurate reporting of daily center data requirements to the Department of Labor.
Felix said her positive approach to problem solving and student development is contagious and she is often sought after by staff and students as a role model for all to follow.
Milton received her educational certifications from the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Northern Maine Community College. She is also a graduate of the AMA Business Professional University with a certification in human resources.
