PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Middle School girls cross-country team finished in second place at the league championship, held Oct. 9 in Woodland.
Four girls finished in the top 10.
In fifth place overall was Elizabeth Wing, with a time of 14:01. Charli Casavant finished in sixth place with a time of 14:09. In seventh place was Rylee Sylvia with a 14:15 finishing time, and in 10th place, Ada Cote finished at 15:26.
Close behind were Presque Isle’s Raegan McCormick at 15:43 and Taylor York at 16:02.
For PIMS, co-awardees Wing and Casavant received the Most Valuable award, and Kelsey Caron received the Most Improved award. Rookie of the Year was awarded to Cote, and Audrey McLellan received the Most Inspirational award.
