CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou and Presque Isle girls basketball teams faced off Tuesday at Caribou High School, with the Wildcats pulling out a 10-point victory, 41-31.
The Wildcats secured a significant lead in the first quarter, during which they scored 13 points to Caribou’s four. By halftime, Caribou had a total of 13 points and Presque Isle was at 24. The Wildcats scored an additional 12 points in the third quarter which Caribou nearly matched with 10 points.
Caribou outscored Presque Isle 8-5 in the final quarter, but it was not enough for the win.
For Caribou, Paige Espling scored 13 points and Selena Savage added seven. Top scorers for Presque Isle were Faith Sjoberg with 11 and Alana Legassie with nine.
