HOULTON, Maine — County Physical Therapy, which has been serving Aroostook County since 1987, will open a new clinic in Bangor on Jan. 27.
This expansion marks the company’s sixth location, and first expansion since 2002. It is also the first location outside of Aroostook County.
County Physical Therapy will be located at the former home of Great Skates, alongside Stillwater Academy, at 82 Sylvan Road in Bangor. Richard Ezzy, vice president and general manager, said the location offers many positive attributes.
“First of all, it is a very well known and visible location,” he said. “We have worked closely with the landlord, Tom Ellis of Ellis Commercial Development in Hermon, to design and construct a modern and functional clinic. Combined with plenty of parking and easy access, we couldn’t have picked a better spot.”
Mark Rossignol, founder and president of County Physical Therapy, said he was excited about the expansion.
“We are looking forward to establishing ourselves in Bangor,” he said. “Our growth has always been about meeting demand. Along with the many people with Aroostook County ties in the Bangor area, we already have strong relationships with healthcare professionals in the market. We hope that our grass roots brand of physical therapy will be as successful in Bangor as we have been in The County for 33 years.”
Joining Rossignol in the Bangor clinic will be current Houlton clinic manager P.J. Madore, who will transition to clinic manager at the new Bangor location.
“P.J. has been with CPT for 20 years, and is not only an exceptional physical therapist, he is a top-notch person,” Rossignol said.
In addition, the business will employ a team of clinic support personnel. Well known for their results with sports and orthopedic injuries, County Physical Therapy treats a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, soft-tissue disorders and other movement issues, working with patients of all ages. Accepting most major insurances, It also offers direct pay alternatives to clients.
“We realize that patients have a choice as to if, and where, they get physical therapy,” Rossignol said. “What CPT tries to do is put together a great team of caring and experienced therapists, focus on functional rehab results, and do so efficiently both in terms of time and cost. That has been my focus for 33 years, and now we get to do it in a new place. It is exciting.”
