CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou police arrested three individuals and seized 6.79 grams of suspected fentanyl along with 8.23 grams of methamphetamine and several pieces of drug paraphernalia, police said on March 20.
The arrest occurred at 8:26 p.m. on March 14, when Officer Kegan McPherson stopped a black 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche for multiple traffic violations. Nathan Chisholm of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office was in the area and searched the car with trained police dog Jazz, police said.
McPherson then arrested Brian Keenan, 41, of Caribou and charged him with trafficking in schedule W drugs, furnishing schedule W drugs, and the sheriff’s office also charged him with refusing to submit to arrest.
Police also charged Jose Rosado, 42, of Fort Fairfield with trafficking and furnishing schedule W drugs and charged Meagan McCausland, 32, of Fort Fairfield with possession of schedule W drugs.
Rosado was sent to Aroostook County Jail, while Keenan made bail and McCausland was given a summons and released. Their court dates are set for May 7 at the Caribou District Courthouse.
