DANFORTH, Maine — Jordyn Cowger, a senior at East Grand School, has been selected to receive the 2020 Principal’s Award for her school.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Throughout her years at East Grand School, Jordyn has distinguished herself in the classroom, on the playing field and as a leader in the school,” principal Margaret White said. “She more than deserves this distinguished recognition.”
While at East Grand School, Cowger has received high honors, has been a three-sport athlete (softball, basketball and soccer) and captain, as well as a school and community volunteer on numerous occasions, the principal added.
The students were slated to receive their awards at a special ceremony in Brewer April 4, but that event has since been canceled.
