MARS HILL, Maine — Central Aroostook Junior-Senior High School Principal, Dr. Kay York, has announced senior Brayden Bradbury of Bridgewater is the recipient of the 2020 Principal’s Award.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
Throughout high school, Brayden endeavored to excel academically and also was involved in many school activities including varsity soccer, basketball and baseball as well as student council, FFA and National Honor Society, York said.
“Brayden is a respectful young man who is always willing to help others. Brayden demonstrated a strong commitment to school and community by volunteering as a summer counselor, summer lawn care for a church in the community and at various activities at school. Brayden is also a member of the Bridgewater Fire Department,” York said.
He has earned many honors and awards, including All Aroostook basketball and soccer, McDonald’s All-Star participant, numerous FFA awards and high honors in grades 9-12.
York added, “Brayden is an outstanding young man, who is very deserving of this award.”
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
