MCNEAL, Alberta M., 94, WASHBURN, at Eagle Lake, June 22, 2013. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 28, at 11:30 a.m., at Riverside Ext. Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
WASHBURN – Alberta M. McNeal, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Mercy Home in Eagle Lake where she had resided for quite a number of years. She was born October 30, 1918, the daughter of Elmer and Mehitable (Hittie) “Bodge” Stoddard.
She was one of nine siblings who have all preceded her in death. She was married to Floyd McNeal of Dunntown and he preceded her in death in World War II. Alberta worked at Knox’s General Store and Tater State. She attended the Dunntown Advent Christian Church and the Mapleton United Baptist Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews: Llewellyn Kidney of Mapleton, Gwendolyn Ferguson of Caribou, Marsha Christy of New York, Elmer Stoddard of Castle Hill, Michael Stoddard of New York, Robert Stoddard of New Hampsire, Charles Currier II of Mapleton; and great- nieces and nephews who express their deepest gratitude to the loving caretakers at Mercy Home for their wonderful care of Aunt Alberta.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 28, 2013, at 11:30 a.m., at Riverside Ext. Cemetery with Wendell Hudson officiating. Interment will be according to Aunt Alberta’s wishes to be interred with her husband.
